Программа обучения Automotive Mechatronics in the Automotive Technology

Программа обучения "Automotive Mechatronics in the Automotive Technology" в Coburg University

Automobil-Mechatronik im Studiengang Automobiltechnologie

The specialization in Automotive Mechatronics in the Automotive Technology program is primarily technically oriented. Students acquire the basic knowledge that is currently necessary in automotive engineering. This is not limited to mechanics: expertise in the fields of electronics and computer science is included. It is clear that automotive-related innovations are now implemented primarily through software-based functions.

Specifically, this specialization includes the technical disciplines of mechanics, electrical engineering, electronics, computer science, and sensor and actuator technology. However, business administration, project management and presentation skills are part of the program.

Описание программы обучения "Automotive Mechatronics in the Automotive Technology"

Projects

The course is strongly practice-oriented and project-oriented and thus specifically geared towards the requirements of professional practice. The students apply their knowledge at an early stage in study and practical projects. They work in teams and thus train their social skills.

Concrete projects with partners from companies and institutions challenge the students to present their work results safely and establish contacts with practice at an early stage.

CAT Racing

Committed students can take part in CAT-Racing, the Formula Student team at the Coburg University of Applied Sciences. In this international design competition, the students develop and build their own racing car with which they compete on international racetracks with teams from other universities. Стажировки и практика в программе обучения "Automotive Mechatronics in the Automotive Technology"

Basic internship

A 14-week basic internship must be completed by the beginning of the fifth semester. It can be carried out in sections of at least four weeks and must take place during the lecture-free period. It makes sense to complete part of this basic internship as a 6-week pre-study internship before starting your studies. In this way, the workload can be reduced in the first four semesters. Further information can be found in our information sheet on the basic internship. The practice representative Prof. Dr. Michael Steber.

Practical semester

The practical semester usually takes place in the fifth semester. It covers a continuous period of 20 weeks. In addition, the students attend practical courses.

Учебный план программы обучения "Automotive Mechatronics in the Automotive Technology"

In the "Automotive Mechatronics" specialization in the "Automotive Technology" course, the following basics are taught in the first four theoretical semesters, for example:

  • Introduction of automotive technology
  • Mechanics
  • Electrical engineering / electronics
  • Mechatronics
  • Computer science and programming
  • Microcomputer technology
  • Mathematics
  • Simulation of mechatronic systems
  • Construction and machine elements
  • General business administration and project management

The second stage of study begins in 5. Semester with a practical semester of 20 weeks. In the 6. In the 7th and 7th semesters , you can largely design your studies yourself by choosing different modules. The main areas of study are among others:

  • Internal combustion engines
  • Automotive electronics
  • Trends in vehicle technology
  • Mechatronics in the drive train
  • Sensors and actuators in vehicles

The bachelor thesis to be worked on independently on site or in industry is included in 7. Semester integrated.
