The University of Konstanz is one of only eleven universities nationwide with the formal status of “University of Excellence”. The Department of Politics and Public Administration belongs to the top political science departments in Europe. Two study tracks are offered, allowing students the flexibility to customize their Master's studies in accordance with their own academic interests and career aspirations. Track A is the fast track to a PhD. Following the first year of the program, students with an outstanding performance record and a strong interest in academic research can be admitted to the Graduate School of Decision Sciences and take courses towards their doctorate during their Master's studies. Students submit a Master's thesis and attend two PhD seminars which serve as a preparation of the subsequent PhD studies. Track B is for students aiming for a general postgraduate education in political economy. Students have to hand in a final Master's thesis.Факультет

Университет КонстанцаФакультет экономики и социальных наук Гамбургского университета является одним из крупнейших из восьми факультетов университета и одним из крупнейших факультетов социальных и экономических наук в Германии.
С момента основания факультет претерпел различные изменения. С 2014 года факультет WiSo разделен на три кафедры социальной экономики, социальных наук и экономики.
Аспирантура была основана в 2011 году как междисциплинарное учреждение, которое занимается продвижением наших молодых ученых. Аспирантура объединяет и координирует докторские процедуры факультета в рамках структурированных докторских программ и, таким образом, гарантирует систематическую подготовку наших докторантов, а также тесную взаимосвязь с дисциплинарными и междисциплинарными исследованиями на всех кафедрах.
Опираясь на опыт, накопленный на этапе основания и за счет внедрения новой организационной структуры, факультет WiSo предлагает широкий спектр инновационных курсов и устанавливает современные исследовательские приоритеты.
Требования к поступающим на программу обучения "Политическая Экономия — Магистр Наук"
- An above average Bachelor’s degree, at least corresponding to the German grade 2,5 (good) in Economics or Political Science. You are welcome to apply in your final year of your Bachelor’s programme. Please submit your current academic transcript as PDF (with an officially certified translation into English or German, if applicable).
- Evidence of knowledge in mathematics, statistics, economics, or political science during your undergraduate degree.
- Please include a curriculum vitae in English as well as a one-page statement of purpose written in English showing your suitability and motivation for pursuing the Master's programme.
- Proof of sufficient English language skills by one of the following means:
- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency: minimum grade C
- IELTS: minimum grade: 5.5
- TOEFL: minimum grade 87 Internet based points
- Evidence of five years continuous English classes at the level of a German secondary school with the minimum grade “befriedigend”
- Completion of at least four classes held in English in a previous relevant degree programme
- Two letters of recommendation from university teachers who are able to comment on your suitability and motivation for participating in the Master's programme.
- Although not mandatory, results of the GRE test are desirable if you did not complete your undergraduate degree in Germany.
