Healthcare Informatics graduates are able to carry out
both scientifically founded and ethically insightful work
on the basis of a systematic approach. The integrated
practical study semester which takes place in selected
healthcare institutions, organisations and businesses in close
coordination with the DIT helps to achieve this goal.

The course includes a standard period of study of seven semesters with six theoretical and one practical semester. The course can also be completed part-time. In this case, the course includes a standard period of study of nine theoretical semesters and one practical semester. This course of study is documented in the appendix. The choice between full-time and part-time study occurs when you first enroll.
In two semesters, general scientific fundamentals of the basic sciences of computer science, economics and natural sciences are taught. Building on this, we delve deeper into the areas of application of health informatics in preparation for the practical semester in the fifth semester. The specialization and career field orientation takes place in the last two semesters by choosing fields of competence.
